Hi everyone! 👋
I’ve been feeling (more than) a little stressed and overwhelmed lately, for a number of reasons - which I may get into in more detail, at a later date.
However, for now, I have decided that the best thing I can do for me and my family, is to take a little step back from Substack. To have a little time to think about my next steps. 😊
I need to allow for some quality time with the kids (as it is currently the summer holidays) and I need to focus more carefully on my own health and wellbeing. I realise I am extremely fortunate to be able to do both of those things, and believe me, I never take that for granted. 💛

Monthly members, I’m not sure if Substack has sent you a notification about this or not, but I have frozen payments for the time I am away, so you will not be charged a single penny in that time. 👍
Yearly members, your subscription will be extended for the amount of time I am away for, so tagged onto the end of the membership year - if that makes sense. 🙈

A Slow and Gentle Reset
Whilst I’m away, I will be using some of the wonderful suggestions, tools and nurturing activities, generously offered here on Substack… some of which may be of interest to you too…
I will be continuing to work my way through
’s Heal your Past Series and listening to her beautiful Guided Meditations, which have both already had a huge positive impact on my life. Thank you, Kate… you know I’m a big fan! 🥰🙈 You can find all of Kate’s wonderful and generous offerings over at Letters From Therapy - Well worth a paid membership, I think! 👍Calmly celebrating my Birthday with my closest family and friends. Nothing fancy, just quality time together enjoying yummy food and great company. The pressure of fulfilling other people’s idea of what my birthday should be, is NOT what I need right now.
I might write… or I might not! I’ll be listening closely to what my mind and body need and going with it. ❤️ I will be implementing many of the ideas and inspiring ways that

’s brilliant book, The Discomfort Zone - I’m only a chapter in and I LOVE it already! 🥰👍*Incidentally, I am aware that I may have in fact hit my ‘discomfort zone’ (with the pending launch of my new business) and ironically, this may very well be the reason I’m running for the hills and taking this break! 🙈🤣 Oh well, at least I have recognised this fact - A good step in the right direction I feel 👍*
Sketching… I want to do more now that I have finally built the confidence to share my art with others, thanks to
, , , , and many others. Thank you for your kind support and for cheering me on. 🙏 💛I have also recently discovered The Sketchbook Sanctuary by
, where there are lots of FREE tutorials I could sink my teeth into, if I felt like it. 🥰I WILL be attending
and ’s Publishing Summit on Friday 16th August… because, well quite frankly, I’d be an absolute bloody fool not to! 🤣 I am very much looking forward to Claire and Russell’s generous offering, which will include speakers such as; the fabulous , , , , and many more! 👍Please don’t be offended if I go very quiet and stop interacting on Substack all together for a bit. Whilst I do very much enjoy reading, commenting and supporting fellow writers on here, I may feel the need to switch off completely, so please don’t take it personally! 😉

I’m not quite sure how long I will be away, but one thing I do know for sure is that I will DEFINITELY be back! 🤩
Thinking back to when I first began writing here on Substack, in January this year, I could never have imagined just how amazingly positive my experience would be. It has been an absolute delight to enter an online space that is so kind, nurturing and supportive. Away from the ‘noise’ of mainstream social media and into a place that feels so calm, interesting, inspirational, authentic and uplifting! 🥰
A special thank you to one of the first people who made me feel so welcome here, who is now someone I am proud to call my friend -
