Man oh man, why do we always feel the need to apologise for a rant? Anyone’s life can feel super sucky regardless of any perceived privilege (a word which I now feel regularly obliged to use). Hope the leg shaving passed without any haemorrhagic incidents - something I rarely accomplish! And as for cleaners 🤯 but your writing should def come before a clean bathroom. Xx

SO. GOOD. Besides, I heard a good moan once in a while keeps your skin glowy - you can’t argue with the science.

''hey ho, mustn’t wallow…'' 😂😂 Loved reading your post! And absolutely positively relate. I have been hearing this nagging you-must-be-grateful-voice a lot lately, so this was a really powerful read for me.

I got ripped off for two taxis the other year (over £100) and I was trying to be grateful and overriding the rainbow of emotions. It was a painful lesson to learn to allow myself to just be a little bit pissed off!

I also wanted to leave my emotions at home that week, just take a little bit of a break, have a little bit of a holiday from the daily emotional regulation I’d been doing all year. Only I’d opened the flood gates and I couldn’t escape them😂

I’ve been accidentally researching society from times past and the challenges and impact on mental health we have today have always been prevalent. It doesn’t appear that privilege protects us from this. It’s just more ammunition to layer on the narratives.
