You speak so much sense, Eva! I used to despise dry January when I lived in the Uk for this exact reason - it’s the WORST possible month to stop drinking. Moderation, moderation, moderation is the key and that’s (usually) my approach to food too. My brain doesn’t like restrictions - it immediately wants the thing it can’t have. Love the idea of a fresh start in every moment too - a good reminder this year when we are tempted to abandon all our good intentions after one fuck up. And thank you for sharing my piece too! Lots of love and Haply New Year ❤️
I'm 💯 with you on this, Sara. Moderation, yes!!! I've been preaching this for years. I'm all for a cold turkey healthy challenge now and again, for example Abstinence April, as I call it ( this is the easiest month to go dry for me), but a sustainable moderation habit is definitely the way to go!
I’m totally with you buuuut we are doing dry Jan! I made a flippant comment a few weeks back and on NYE my husband reminded me we couldn’t drink any leftovers on NYD! The swine!
This is brilliant! I loved reading this and giggled at many bits. I’ve never been one for new year resolutions… way too much pressure for my liking. I do love to reflect on some hopes and dreams for the year but over the years have made sure I am intentional with this and it’s all focused on empowering me forwards. Thank you so much for the mention of my meditation as well, I’m so glad you enjoyed it xxx
Happy New Year Eva 🥳 I love reading your writing, and love your photos. You always makes me smile, I feel like I'm having a morning cuppa with you and a chat ☕
I love how much of your personality you bring into your work Eva. You always give me a little wry smile, and I adored the photo montage at the end. We all love a little bit of ankle. It helps us to connect to you. Keep doing you in 2025. I can't wait to do it together.
Well, it was this very clever PR lady living in France who advised on the ankle flashing.. never forgot that 😉😍 So happy that you're enjoying my writing x

Best thing I’ve read on New Year’s resolutions. These are the conversations I have with my clients all the time (minus the swearing) 😅
Yes, sorry about that 😉😁

It is packed with so much personality Eva, never loose it!
Fantastic, great points, Eva! A healthy balance is well worth pursuing, none of this fad nonsense and the pressure and guilt that come with it!
